Zabify (“we”, “us”) operates the website zabify.net, a directory of certified halal restaurants. This page explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

We try to collect as little as possible. In practice, that means:

• Approximate location — only if you grant permission in your browser. We use it to sort restaurants by distance from you. It is not stored on our servers.
• Form submissions — when you contact us, submit a listing, or request a correction, we receive the name, email, and message you provide. Submissions are emailed to us via Web3Forms.
• Standard server logs — like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) records basic request data such as IP addresses and user agents. These help debug problems and are kept briefly.

• We don’t sell your data.
• We don’t use third-party advertising or behavioural tracking pixels.
• We don’t require an account to browse the directory.

Zabify relies on a few external services to function:

• Vercel — website hosting.
• OpenStreetMap & CARTO — map tiles.
• Web3Forms — relays contact form submissions to our inbox.

Each of these has their own privacy policy. When you use Zabify your browser interacts with their servers in the normal course of loading the page.

Zabify does not use marketing or analytics cookies. Your browser may store small amounts of data locally (e.g. last selected filter) to make the site feel responsive between visits.

• You can deny location access — the site will still work without distance sorting.
• You can ask us to remove any message you sent — contact us with the original details and we’ll delete it from our inbox.
• You can ask us to remove or update a listing — see the “Update an Entry” link in the footer.

We may update this policy over time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. Significant changes will be flagged on the homepage.
